Hi! My name is Beryl and I am an officer with both the Greater Baton Rouge and Louisiana state affiliates. I have been married for 40 years to my husband Mike and have a 26 year old daughter, Michelle. My involvement with both the state and local affiliates began the early 1980's. In addition, I have worked with students on the autism spectrum in local school systems since 1980, first as a teacher and then as a program supervisor. I retired in December, 2015 but I definitely plan to stay active in advocating for individuals with ASD and their families. They have taught me so much! This summer, I had the honor to meet Julia, the newest Sesame Street Muppet who happens to be on the autism spectrum. How far we have come!
